January 29, 2009

Greetings, family and friends.
The latest at our house is a renewed love of card games. Aurora bought two decks of pink Bicycle playing cards, and Gabe got some for his 100-point prize (a reward earned by completing 100 lessons of school work). Everyone has been playing. Today AB even tried getting Rusty to play. He couldn't understand the rules. :)
We have had some chilly winter weather here. It's 68 degrees right now, at 10:30pm, and it will get colder! And, if you all are wondering if we make our children go to swimming practice when it's 65 degrees out and over-cast, the answer is YES! Ryan and I even go to our lessons in the frigid pool. We say "Mind over matter!"
Today my dad, Micheal del Pilar celebrates his birthday. (I think he's 52.) :) I love you, Dad.

Swim Meet - Jan 17, 2009

Here are some pictures of Alana at her swim meet on Jan 17.  She received a 2nd Place Ribbon for the 50 meter back stroke and a third place in the 50 meter free style.

This is a very short clip of Alana in the swim portion of one of her triathalons.

Ryan's school update

I'm still working toward my BA in History with AMU.  I'm sitting at 75 credits toward the 121 required.  I have a transfer credit evaluation ongoing right now trying to get the four remaining elective credits out of the way from the resident advanced staff non-commissioned academy I attended back in Aug-Sep of 2008.  Since I know mom is interested in my papers I'll go ahead and try to post them on here.
